President Uhuru Kenyatta according to information on Social Media is set to be at Inoro FM radio stations to discuss BBI, handshake, and issues affecting his Mt. Kenya backyard.
According to the message being shared, the head of state will be live on Inooro Fm Hagaria Show hosted by Jeff Kuria and Nyoxx wa Katta.
The broadcast will also be shared with other local radio stations serving the larger Mt. Kenya audince.
This according to political bigwigs is one of Uhuru’s strategy to harmonize his home turf which is one of the key regions the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is facing rejection.
The president’s move also comes as part of the response to Senate Majority Whip Irungu Kang’ata’s letter.
In his letter addressed to President Uhuru Kenyatta and copied to top Jubilee party officials, Kang’ata pointed out that six out of ten people in Central Kenya oppose the amendment of the 2010 Constitution through BBI.
The letter however attracted mixed reactions with those supporting the handshake and BBI from Mt. Kenya region accusing Murang’a Senator of being a Tanga Tanga mole.
Senator Kang’ata on his part stood his grounds saying the truth had to be told to save the President and his administration from embarrassment.
Another issue expected to be addressed by President Uhuru Kenyatta is the state of Jubilee party and his relationship with Deputy President Dr. William Ruto who has grown his own large support based in the region.
President Kenyatta will also likely to defend his relationship with opposition leader and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
