Police officers in Msambweni have mounted roadblocks and cordoned off the venue for a meeting of Independent Msambweni parliamentary aspirant Faisal Abdalla Bader that is set to take place today.
The meeting will be attended by allies of Deputy President Dr. William Ruto led by Former Senators Johnson Muthama, Hassan Omar, Boni Khalwale, and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa.
According to sources, the event is a high-level strategy meeting between grassroots leaders, Tanga Tanga think tanks in the coast region, and DP’s allies to plan and roll out the campaign strategy for the upcoming by-election.
This comes a day after police in Nyamira tear-gassed supporters of the DP Ruto forcing him to postpone two of his planned visits to the region.
